Fife, Scotland, has a long history of association with the monarchy of Scotland, so much so that Fifers strongly defend the right of the region to be known as the Kingdom of Fife. The kingdom is home to Dunfermline, the ancient capital of Scotland, the ancient Palace of Falkland, Culross Abbey, St Andrews the Home of Golf, beautiful East Neuk of Fife, the Howe of Fife, including Auchtermuchty, Strathmiglo and Cupar.
