Bucket Pats Fife Scotland

Salt was produced along the shoreline of Dysart and Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland. Sea water was boiled down to collect the salt. The bucket pats were small pools in which sea water was collected when the tide went out so that production of salt could continue non-stop.
